Often customers of have no knowledge that they have been signed up for a subscription that automatically renews and takes money from your credit card. Things to consider before doing a chargeback with your bank

A natural reaction would be to go to your bank and ask to do a chargeback, but it might not be the best thing for you because:

  • You will need to resubscribe to all other services again that you have connected your credit card with (like phone subscription, streaming services, automatic payments etc)
  • Your bank might impose a fee that you will have to pay
  • Your bank might give you a lower credit rating. That could mean it would be more difficult to get a loan in the future

  3. Hi , I just realized that deducted NZ$74.35 from my account on the 21st July. I have not accessed their movies or media at all. I accidentally subscribed while trying to find a sports match. Once I saw it had nothing of interest to me I left the sight and have not accessed it since. I have rung my bank and they have suggest I talk with kungmedia . Should I do this ? Any advice ?   4. I had no idea that I signed up for this kungmedia but when I went to remove my money from the bank then in my transaction receipt it stated that kungmedia had removed Rs 1786 from my bank account I wanted to see a very nice hindi movie that’s why I signed if you could help me please…

  13. hi there, I have put in a request before to cancel this subscription, I did not ask for it, I have never down loaded a thing in my life and DO NOT WANT IT! please respond (this is not my first request) and cancel this KUNGMEDIA! you have no right to do this and I want full refund for all monies taken out of my account without my consent,
    I have reported unlawful use of my debit card with my bank as well……I find it interesting that lots of other
    comments have come through advising of same issue, no approval to do this!
